On 1 March 2017, new donor conception laws are implemented in Victoria. This world-first legislation gives all people conceived from egg and sperm donation in Victoria the right to know their donor’s identity. VANISH is nominated by the Secretary for Health as the authorised search agency and provides search services to donor-conceived people and donors through an arrangement with the Victorian Assisted Reproductive Treatment Authority (VARTA).
