Invitation from Independent Regional Mothers – Place of reflection - Gippsland
Brenda Coughlan has asked VANISH to put the following information on our website. We are happy to do so.
Hi - since November a process has begun for a place of reflection to be erected in Gippsland to commemorate the national and victorian parliamentary apologies through Commonwealth funding.
Support is coming from politicians, local councillors and local media and I have just put in all local media outlets an article calling for input from anyone who wishes to have input so that the place of reflection includes mothers, fathers, sons, daughters and the wording of the plaque is carefully worded so nobody will feel left out.
A place for anyone to visit and know these important apologies were to them and they are never alone. Everybody's pain is individual - and a place of reflection can offer healing in Gippsland area - so if you know of any mother, father, son, daughter who would like to contact me I would be so grateful to assist in the designing and wording of this very special place of reflection.
Please give them my email address firstname.lastname@example.org or my mobile number 0409 711 627 - it must include everyone as the wording and the style are important and it is not about who is arranging it - as no one person is more important than the other when it comes to a place of reflection.
